ESTM Inaugurates Successful First Educational Course in Blood Banking
ESTM is pleased to announce the successful completion of its inaugural educational and training course for 36 blood bank physicians from across Egypt, representing both governmental and private institutions. The comprehensive four-module program spanned four days per month, encompassing the entire spectrum of blood banking and transfusion medicine.
The initial days focused on theoretical and scientific foundations, followed by two days of intensive practical sessions. All participants actively attended hands-on learning experiences, including a live demonstration at renowned centers in Cairo: the National Blood Transfusion Center and the National Cancer Institute.
To facilitate optimal learning, the group was divided into four smaller parties for enhanced practical engagement.
The course received the esteemed endorsement and partial sponsorship of the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT). Notably, the ISBT pre-reviewed and approved all course content, organizers, and speakers. Furthermore, the ISBT granted permission for the use of its logo on course materials and certificates.

The course received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with participants universally reporting significant learning gains.
Continuing the Legacy:
Building on this success, ESTM is preparing to launch a second iteration of the course in 2025. A new cohort of participants is invited to enroll in this valuable program, scheduled to commence in April and conclude in July 2025.
